This easy Fruit Dip recipe is a little bit retro, perhaps similar to one you had growing up. It’s a simple combination of cream cheese, marshmallow fluff, and lemon juice, and it reminds me of my aunt’s Caramel Apple Dip made from just cream cheese, white sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla. Totally different texture on that one, but the simplicity and sweetness are similar.

This fruit dip is a great centerpiece on your next Fresh Fruit Platter, but it’s also an option to keep in the fridge for weekend treats for the kids. Or try it with graham crackers, animal crackers, Nilla wafers, or even pretzels.

Recipe tips and variations

  • Yield: This Fruit Dip recipe makes about 1 ½ cups of dip, enough for 12 servings, 2 tablespoons each.
  • Storage: Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
  • Fresh fruit: When assembling a Fruit Platter, use a rainbow array of colors and a variety of flavors and textures. I love a mix of melon, berries, grapes, figs, and tropical fruits. Use seasonal fruit when possible (check out my produce guide for the month you plan to serve), and avoid fruits that brown easily, such as apples, bananas, and pears.
