Explore recipes by season through monthly produce guides! You’ll find fruit-and-vegetable-forward main dishes, side dishes, soups, salads, appetizers, and desserts. Yes, I even have a guide to What’s in Season in February; it’s truly possible to eat seasonally even in the coldest months of the year.

From the moment spring produce begins to pop up in April and May to the bountiful harvest times around August and September, I have helpful produce guides to what fruits and vegetables are in season in most U.S. states each month of the year. And while you might think of December and January as frigid, fresh fare-free eras, there’s actually a fair amount of fruits and vegetables (citrus and root vegetables, I’m looking at you!) that are easily accessible that time of year.
