Whole30 Compatible Recipes

A collection of recipes that are Whole 30 Compatible that do not contain sugar, alcohol, grains, legumes, or dairy. These are nutrient-dense, whole-food recipes to support you on your journey.

The Whole30 Diet is a 30-day elimination diet that focuses on whole, unprocessed foods such as lean meats, eggs, nuts, seeds, fruits, vegetables (including potatoes), and healthy oils. The diet excludes all grains, beans and legumes, dairy, alcohol (even in vanilla extract), and sugar (both refined and unrefined). Following the Whole30 also means eschewing “treats” that are made with compliant ingredients but resemble foods that are not traditionally compliant (such as paleo pancakes, muffins, cookies, and coffee creamers). I’ve done the diet so many times, I feel like I know the rules forwards and backwards.

There are a handful of recipes within the Whole30 universe that require specific ingredient modifications: bacon is allowed if it’s uncured and without added sugar; barbecue sauce or mayonnaise must be free of sugars, fillers, MSG, and highly processed oils; butter must be clarified. I have included notes within the Recipe Tips and Variations sections where these modifications are needed. But if you are on that diet, you will know the rules anyway. I just want you to know that I know them, too.
