Paleo Recipes

A collection of recipes that follow the Paleo Recipes guidelines. They do not contain refined sugar, alcohol, grains, legumes, or dairy. These are nutrient-dense, whole-food recipes to support a paleo lifestyle. Honey and maple syrup are allowed.

The Paleo Diet focuses on eating whole, unprocessed foods such as lean meats, fish, eggs, vegetables, fruit, and healthy oils, nuts, and seeds. These recipes follow those principles and are free from grains, dairy, beans and legumes, and refined sugar. Honey, maple syrup, and wine are generally allowed on the Paleo diet. Corn is considered a grain. Potatoes are a gray area – some paleo followers eat them, some do not. I have included some recipes with potatoes in this collection, so feel free to steer clear if needed.

There are a handful of recipes within the Paleo realm that require specific ingredient modifications: bacon is allowed if it’s uncured and without added sugar; barbecue sauce or mayonnaise must be free from sugars and other fillers (seek out “primal” brands); butter must be clarified. I have included notes within the Recipe Tips and Variations sections where these modifications are needed. But if you are on that diet, you will know the rules anyway.
