About Me
Welcome to Culinary Hill!
My name is Meggan Hill and I’ll be your hostess for the duration of your visit. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to make your stay more enjoyable.
I was born and raised in Wisconsin and lived there my whole life until…. in the semi-recent past I moved out to Los Angeles with my husband for his dream job in the Entertainment industry. It has been a wild ride ever since! Especially on the Culinary front.
Los Angeles has more than amazing food – it has an amazing food culture. From the farmer’s markets to the local grocery stores to the specialty food shops and the restaurants, there is always something fresh and delicious just around the corner.
In April 2012, we had our first baby, CJ. He has certainly spiced things up for us! I’ve had to readjust my cooking and eating habits to accommodate his [hopefully temporary] dairy allergy (being from Wisconsin, a dairy allergy is practically blasphemous). But, I have really learned a lot long the way. Along with the help of my new West Coast friends, my attitude towards food is forever changed. And all for the better!
Please get in touch if you have any questions, comments, or recipe requests. I’ll be delighted to help!
Cheers!
Meggan
“I don’t LIKE food. I LOVE it. If I don’t love it, I don’t SWALLOW.”
– Anton Ego, Pixar’s Ratatouille

great site..love all the pics!! food looks delicious. I eat gluten free and like that some of these are gluten free!!
Meggan July 24, 2011 at 8:57 am
I do try to throw in gluten-free recipes here and there. There are some things that are just naturally gluten-free and incredibly tasty that way, so I look for those. I know it is important for a lot of eaters out there.

Hi Meggan! Hello from the State of California! About 2 hours from San Francisco to be exact. I stopped by to visit and say thank you for the friend request on FBuzz. Great blog. Great quote from Anton and a nice mix of recipes. I have a particular weakness for cookies and these look very good.
My day job is in Psychology. I love to eat though and write so my blog fills a niche, too.
Stop by and visit if you get a chance. Maybe Follow, if you like.
