Smoked Chicken Breast

Summer barbecue season is here! Roasted chicken is great, grilled chicken is just fine, but smoked chicken breast is a whole new level of delicious. Boneless chicken breasts are simple to prepare for a week's worth of meal prep, and cook up quick inside a charcoal smoker.

  • 4 boneless, skinless, chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon BBQ rub


  • First, rub the chicken breasts with the oil and then sprinkle on the BBQ rub making sure to coat well.
  • Then, set smoker up with coals and wood chips.
  • Once the smoker is at temperature (200-225) place the chicken onto the grate and place the lid back on.
  • Smoke for about 75 minutes and then check the internal temperature in the thickest part of the breast.
  • If it reads 165 degrees pull the chicken and let rest for about 10 minutes before slicing.
