Culinary Hill is my collection of recipes, gadget information, ingredient descriptions, cooking advice, and observations on life. Welcome aboard.
Please feel free to peruse the content and offer your own tips and suggestions as you go along. My cooking style has changed a lot since I moved to Southern California and had a baby with a dairy allergy (he’s almost done growing out of it). I skip around to different diets and create recipes that may or may not follow them. I love to read about food, think about food, create food, and eat food.
These days I’m cooking with a lot of vegetables, lean meats and chicken, and avocados. I cook almost everything with olive oil, rarely butter. My favorite seasonings are salt and freshly ground black pepper. Since I don’t eat a lot of processed food, I’m fine with salting my own the way I like it. I look at other recipes for inspiration, but most of the food I cook I dreamed up on my own.
