Giving Back

At Culinary Hill, we love giving back to our communities and organizations that we care about. Below are some of the ways we have gotten involved. We want to have an impact in this world!

St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital

We make annual financial donations to St. Jude’s, usually in conjunction with a Trike-a-Thon at a local preschool.

Valencia High School Marching Band

I was involved in band growing up (I played the flute, piccolo, and percussion) and am so happy to support high school in my area through financial contributions.

Valencia High School Competition Cheerleading

These young ladies are extremely talented and win competitions left and right. I’m so happy to support them through financial contributions.

Pet Resource Network

Located in Ostego, Michigan, this rescue takes in many unwanted puppies and dogs and helps find them their Forever Home. We are so happy to sponsor them.

Santa Clarita Public Library

Meggan and Jana (but mostly Jana) have taught evening classes at libraries in Santa Clarita to teach patrons about salad dressings, mocktails, and meal prep.

Hayward Area Chamber of Commerce and Musky Festival

I run a few 5K races per year, and my favorite – by a mile – is the Musky Fest 5K in Hayward, Wisconsin. We joined the Hayward Area Chamber of Commerce so we could sponsor this wonderful race.

Brown Elementary School Bulldog Bash

The Bulldog Bash is Brown Elementary’s only major fundraiser and funds field trips, family events, teacher appreciation, and classroom supplies in Byron Center, Michigan. A large portion of funds raised goes toward the school’s reading programs and incentives.

A Light of Hope

A Light of Hope (ALOH) is a community of people that support teenagers and young adults in their fight against destructive actions and lifestyles including substance abuse. Families are also supported and can discover hope and freedom and end isolation and fear they have been living with.

I have friends who would not be alive today without this organization. I also run in their annual race every fall, the Be the Light 5K.
